Chantix is a prescription drug, approved in 2006, used to help people quit smoking. Since 2006, the FDA has received numerous adverse event reports regarding Chantix’s serious side effects, including suicidal thoughts and aggressive and erratic behavior in persons using the drug. The Institute for Safe Medication Practices commented that Chantix had more reports of serious psychiatric side effects than any other prescription drug.
